Start a club or society
Got an idea? Lets make it happen
There's a lot more to Uni than studying
University is about more than your course. It’s about meeting people, trying something new and finding your people.
If there’s a club or society you’d love to see at University of Portsmouth London, why not start one yourself?
Whether you want to bring together people who share your interests, celebrate a culture or community, build skills outside your course or simply create a space to have fun, you can turn your idea into a student-led society.
And you don't need to have everything figured out. The Students' Union can provide help and guidance throughout the process.
What could you start?
Pretty much anything that brings students together.
You could start a society based around:
- Your interests – from gaming and photography to film, music, food or fitness
- Your course or career – connect with students who share your academic or professional interests
- Culture and community – celebrate your culture, heritage, language or shared experiences
- Social activities – organise meet-ups, trips, quizzes, workshops or just a regular excuse to get together
- Making a difference – bring students together around a cause, charity or issue you care about
Already have an idea that doesn't fit neatly into one of these? Even better. We want to hear it.
